ABOUT

In a daring move, Guy Kuypers, a collector with an insatiable passion spanning over 30 years, decided to unveil his personal collection to the public through the founding of Spectandum, a Cabinet de Curiosités, in 2021. Nestled within a historic townhouse in Leuven, Spectandum beckons with its allure, offering three distinct and vibrant spaces where Kuypers eclectic taste and his cherished rare pieces seamlessly converge. This extraordinary haven acts as a gathering place for kindred spirits, those who share Kuypers fervor for Natural History, Curiosa, Classic African Art, and Fine Art.
Making its first entrance into the Brussels Art Square, Spectandum showcases the perfect fusion of historical grandeur and modern vision. In an inspiring collaboration, Spectandum is located next to the Jonathan F. Kugel Gallery. This union of worlds accentuates the diverse atmosphere within Spectandum, as it becomes an immersive experience enhanced by the inclusion of exquisite objects crafted by renowned artisans like Auzoux, Brendel, Bontems, and Roland Ward, to name but a few.
With an unwavering dedication to nurturing an open-minded appreciation for art and collectibles, Spectandum extends a warm welcome to visitors by appointment only. It opens the doors to a realm where treasure seekers can finally uncover the long-awaited gem they have tirelessly sought. Within its enchanting embrace, Spectandum offers an opportunity to embark on an unforgettable journey, where extraordinary discoveries await at every turn.
