For more than 30 years, Francis Janssens van der Maelen has been a recognized specialist in the world of European Silver en Works of Art.

This dealer was one of the very first to participate in prestigious fairs such as Tefaf in Maastricht, BRAFA in Brussels, Art Asia in Hong Kong, Olympia in London, Salon du Collectionneur in Geneva and in Paris, as well as the International Art and Antique Fair in Palm Beach.

After having embellished numerous collections, while keeping his passion for the old, Francis Janssens has diversified by turning to a movement of renewal much sought after by the young generation, by presenting works with purer lines and simple shapes. and geometric influenced by the Bauhaus movement, the Art Deco style.

 

A complete 950/000 silver cutlery set for 12 people, consisting of 243 pieces, crafted by Maison PUIFORCAT in Paris around 1970.

The Art Deco model, created for the wedding of Jean Puiforcat in 1929, is named CANNES after the city and is highly sought after by collectors of that period. The set includes 19 different types of cutlery x 12, totaling 243 non-monogrammed pieces.
