Johann Alexis - Black Dune II
Dimensions: 180 x 120 x 5 cm
The work of Johann Alexis von Haehling explores the connections between art, philosophy, and environmental action. His pieces, centered on consciousness, the body, and the soul, encourage reflection on our societal roles and environmental impacts. Active since 2001 as a curator for various institutions, he founded the Arts & Nature Social Club to promote societal transformation through Joseph Beuys' concept of social sculpture. Influenced by renowned artists and thinkers, his minimalist art invites meditation and introspection. His recent works, such as "Universal Rocks" and "Black Dune," use a variety of materials to create engaging pieces. Through his creations, von Haehling calls for a dialogue on sustainability, identity, and the future of humanity.
Inspired by a quest for global harmony, Johann Alexis reduces surfaces and colors to their essentials, creating spaces conducive to reflection on human consciousness and our relationship with the world. His works, influenced by his curatorial work, incorporate deep reflections on harmony and individual responsibility.
