ABOUT

Born in Namur in 1969, Isara, with a Flemish mother and a Walloon father, has been dedicated to drawing and painting since a very young age.

After five years of teaching French around the world, she shifted her focus to creating theater sets. She has completed numerous trompe-l'œil projects for private clients as well as for hotels, restaurants, and châteaux, such as those in Seclin, France, and Moxhe, Belgium.

She received a grant from the King Baudouin Foundation and had her first exhibition in Knokke le Zoute, which was a great success. Since then, she has exhibited her works in Belgium, France, Russia, and beyond.

Recently, Isara created a collection for the Wittamer house titled "The 7 Deadly Sins." In May 2016, she represented Belgium in Saint Petersburg with her painting "Passionately Belgian."

Her art is a joyful tribute to the beauty of simple things and the fleeting nature of everyday life, creating atmospheres that invite emotion and introspection.

Currently, Isara works in her studio in the heart of Brussels.

For BAS, Isabelle will present her paintings in the exceptional setting of the Costermans house on the Sablon, creating a timeless dialogue between the old and the contemporary.
